It would be uncouth to accidently leave behind your WOLFHARDT bracelet at your lunchtime rendezvous again. Strong, supportive style is hard to find, so keep this fashion treasure close to you!
Sexy at every turn, WOLFHARDT is “Truth Is Cool's” latest gift to you. The allure of the supple leather will be welcoming to any touch. It comes to mind that the creator behind such nirvana must be in tune with all that feels good.
Is the founder Matthew Wolfhardt a true gentleman or not? Don’t let his pantie dropping accessories fool you….Meet the man behind WOLFHARDT and decide for yourself:
Where were you born Matthew?
I was born a hospital in Bellflower Ca.
Wolfhardt has got to be one of the coolest and strongest names out there. It’s unforgettable! Where does this name derive from?
The name itself is my fathers born and given name. When I was born, it was given to me. The name Wolfhardt is a German first name and as my Oma (grandmother) once told me, Wolfhardt means "leader of the pack".
Over an amazing dinner at Real Food Daily on LaCienaga, you mentioned how over time you softened your harder shell and focused on becoming more balanced. What was that life experience that told you to slow down and ease up on the aggressive energy? We know you Germans can be quite tough…..
Lol, yes, tough, very structured and quite serious. I think in our mature age we grow both as a person and internally. As both a designer and a person I wanted to grow through my experiences in life and things I have learned in the past. Growing more balanced, but still remaining passionate about life, my career and family. I would like to say I am in a great place of always progressing. We have control over who we want to be. I continue in following that.
People don't know this, but you have a deep love for animals. Do you have any pets? Which animal charities speak to you?
I’m in love with all animals. We have a lot to learn from them as people. I have a German Shepard named Xander Von Salerno, 2 cats (Lexy and Mia) and a Red Crown Amazon Parrot named Bogie. I’m not currently active in animal charities, but I would like to get more involved and possibly collaborate with organizations such as NKL.
You recently donated the Kuvert clutch to my passion project; Giving Closet. That stunning bag will now help image a sick and single mom in need. Where did the strong design idea come from? I get a sense this clutch will be a catalyst to boosting her confidence.
The Kuvert clutch is one of the more popular bags of the line. While in design, I wanted something that made a statement and a shape that showed strength and something edgy. I think it has enough confidence to be shared with whomever holds it.
Help us with the visuals. You were just set up on a blind date with an amazing girl. She shows up dressed to the nines, but her accessories are all wrong. Do you overlook the obvious and just have a good time? Or does she need an emergency visit to your studio? Where will you be going for dinner and when is too soon for sex?
If she were that amazing of course I would over look her accessories. But only on the first date! Women are very sensitive about their style, especially coming from a man. I would gladly compliment her on how well she looks, but I think a graceful change may be the new project on the list right after our close encountered and candle lit evening at Rivera Restaurant (Los Angeles). I believe in waiting for the right moment, when your heart is connected to that person and there are no hesitations. Passion should never be rushed; sharing a moment of intimacy with someone should be savored and cherished. Always send her flowers afterwards to let you know what an amazing night you had and looking forward to sharing more moments with that amazing girl :)
